Arjun and I were work colleagues from several years ago but even though he moved on to new work opportunities he was always interested to keep in touch. Arjun was not about playing games. He was a straight shooter. He did not care if you were the president of the company or the floor sweeper, he would treat you the same, and that is what I loved about him. I always admired the fact that Arjun would still be interested to take the time to go out to dinner with a group of former colleagues. There was no politics at play here, just a general interest in people and the sharing of friendships cultivated in the work place that survived beyond the workplace. That was important to Arjun and it was very natural for him. He was truly unique in that regard. Dinner conversations with Arjun were always stimulating and humorous. I will miss his unique witty banter. I can honestly say that Arjun was one of the most unpretentious people that I have ever met. In a short span of time he left a huge impact on so many people. Our small group of people that used to meet with Arjun are all still grieving but we will always leave a place at the table and in our hearts for our dear friend. We celebrate a life well lived and the many hearts he touched along the way. May God bless you Arjun. Thank you for always being a friend.

I’ve put off writing something here multiple times because I just couldn’t find the appropriate words for Arjun or AG as many of us called him. To me he was a close friend, confidant, advisor and encyclopedia of knowledge. We’ve been friends since the 8th grade and somehow managed to stay in touch and see each other often even though we both moved to different places after the 10th grade. He was someone I’d look forward to catching up with almost every month. He had this unique sense of humor and a way of delivering jokes that only he could pull off. There are countless times spent with him we all remember where he had us all laughing until it hurt. He was ambitious and always true to himself. As someone else mentioned, he never cared for the status quo. I admired his knowledge on religion, politics and current affairs. Looking at my phone, his last message to me was “Keep on going bro”. It was in a different context but those words have an entirely different meaning for me now. Trying to find the strength to accept the truth and praying he is in a better place. My deepest condolences and prayers are with Uncle, Aunty and Mahesh.

I'm shocked and pained to hear about Arjun. I studied with Arjun at Emirates National School Sharjah (Grades 4-7). I was bullied at school, and at a time when I felt the whole school was against me, Arjun was the kind and gentle soul whom I could turn to and count on. I then met him at Gita classes (where we learnt the Bahgavad Gita) in Sharjah and we connected as we shared a passion towards the Indian culture. A few years later, I knew he migrated to Canada via facebook, and when I was studying in Canada, I got his number and spoke to him. Despite being so long since I last spoke to him, we connected as if we just spoke last week. Although I lost touch with him over the years, I certainly didn't expect to read this. Arjun, I'm sorry we couldn't catch up sooner, thank you so much for being a friend, a brother and a genuine person I could turn to in times of need. I pray God gives your family the strength to cope with their loss and that God keeps you in a special place in heaven. Until we meet brother... Rest In Peace.

Just remember that those we love do not go away, they live with us and walk beside us every day. Always near, not heard, but still missed and loved.
