Obituary of Jugal Kishore Shrivastava

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father Jugal Kishore Shrivastava
(Jay). Jay passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Friday February 7th 2025, at
Markham Stouffville Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India on August 18th 1937, to Chaturbhuj
Shrivastav and Ganga Shrivastava.
He immigrated to British Columbia in the late 1960’s. He was the husband of the late
Sneh Lata Shrivastava. Father of Anita, Archna and Alka (Clinton).
Proud Grandfather of Joshua, Sean, Priyasha, Serena, Thomas, Cole, Karina, Alia and
Asha.
Loving uncle of Arun and many others.
Jay was a devoted and hardworking man. He built a beautiful life for himself and his
family after coming to Canada with nothing. As an immigrant, he worked many jobs
before settling at Ontario Hydro as a professional Engineer. He enjoyed travelling
(mainly back to India), cruises and road trips. He was generous with his family and
friends and was always up for a good buffet. Jay loved photography and videos and
always had his camera on hand.
Jay will be deeply missed but will live on in our hearts forever.

The Funeral will be held on Wednesday February 12 th , 2025 at 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Lotus
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 121 City View Drive, Toronto, M9W 5AB.
Private cremation to follow.
