Obituary of Ovan Mackie Deokaran Singh

Deokaransingh, Ovan Mackie:  Born to Deokaran (Rest in peace)and Basso (Rest in peace) Sankersingh in Siparia, Trinidad on April 11th, 1947, Mackie’s journey began. Mackie called Quarry Village his home till May 1972, then immigrated to Toronto, Canada. Mackie then eventually established himself as a Diesel Mechanic. This beautiful soul eventually met his soul mate Sherry in 1985. Mackie’s family journey extended soon after with the birth of his son Mark. Mackie’s family also included his other sons Stanley, Paul and Nigel(Rest in peace). Mackie’s physical journey came and an end on February 19th, 2025 but his spiritual journey is continuing. Mackie is through and through a family man and one of the best men to have a great impression on those he has come to know. Mackie was predeceased his sisters Jasso, Ruby, Rosalind, his brother Ivan, his son Nigel, and brother-in-laws Charles, Kelvin, Manu, Balkissoon, Ralph, Daniel. Mackie is survived by his wife Sherry, his sons Stanley, Paul and Mark, his sisters Carol(Jean), Lana, and Diana, his brothers Lester and Leslie, brother-in-laws Selwyn and Dip, and his many cousins, nieces and nephews.
