In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Nana ji
January 8, 1931 – February 22, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished grandfather, who left us peacefully on February 22, 2025, at the age of 94. Born before the Partition on January 8, 1931, in Punjab, he lived a life marked by resilience, deep faith, and boundless love for his family.
A devoted husband and father to seven children—six daughters and one son—he worked tirelessly to provide for his family. In a time where people did not educate girls; he supported each and everyone of his daughters to pursue an education, baring no expense in their upbringing.
In 1998, he made the courageous decision to move to Canada, not for himself, but for the future of his children and grandchildren. His sacrifices and unwavering determination laid the foundation for a new beginning, allowing his family to thrive in a country that became home.
With 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren our Nana Ji was the heart of our family, always greeting us with warmth and wisdom. His stories of the past connected us to our roots, while his kindness and laughter filled our home with joy. He had a quiet strength, a generosity that knew no bounds, and a deep belief in the importance of family, faith, and hard work.
We will miss his gentle presence, the quirky nicknames he came up with for each of us and the comfort of his steady hand on our shoulders. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will forever guide us, living on in the lessons he taught and the love he gave so freely.
Daddy, you gave us everything without ever asking for anything in return. Your journey on this earth was long and full, and we are grateful for every moment we had with you. May you find peace and eternal rest, reunited with those who have gone before you.
Your legacy lives on in all of us. We love you and will carry your memory in our hearts forever.
