I had the privilege of meeting Indy as a summer student at Toronto Hydro, where he quickly became a mentor and friend. Over several summers in the facilities department, I was fortunate to learn from him—his patience, kindness, and sharp wit left a lasting impact. He had a rare gift for making people laugh while also making them think.
I could always count on Indy for a well-timed cheesy joke or a piece of wisdom wrapped in humour. His kindness and support will always stay with me. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
Rest easy, Indy. Your kind spirit will always be remembered.
Sincerely,
Your student

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Indy. We worked together for many years at Toronto Hydro and he was an amazing person who really cared about people. He never was too busy to ask you how your day was going, or to lend a helping hand. I have so many fond memories of working with Indy, and was very sad to hear of his passing.
Sending my deepest condolences to his family and close friends. RIP Indy, you will be missed.

My old friend...I covet the few years the three of us had together growing up, they were very special memories. You were my brother, my partner in crime, and a fair enough voice of reason... even though you knew I never listened....Thank you for making our high school years bearable, the jelly donoughts and the tim bits that you always left behind in my locker, even though you always forget to mention it...I will never forget that mouldy locker, or some of those Trini cuss words you taught me, I use them to this very day, as I remembered you telling me that I would have use for them if I ever married a Trini man... Thank you for all the years after high school, and mostly, thank you for being an amazing friend, my heart is broken upon hearing of your loss.
Words cannot express the loss, sorrow and regret for years spent away. You were a phenomenal person and friend
My heartfelt condolences to the family

I can’t believe Indy is no longer with us. Most mornings, the first person I’d see in the 3rd-floor lobby was Indy, always with a warm smile and a friendly wave. He never missed a chance to stop by, say hello, share a few words, or lend a helping hand.
I often saw him in the cafeteria, having coffee with his team, bringing positivity wherever he went. Just last week, I saw him walk past my desk, and now, he’s suddenly gone—it’s truly shocking and heartbreaking.
His loss is deeply felt. May his soul rest in peace. We will miss you, Indy.

I first met Indy in 2000 while moving to Underwriters from another building. I worked with him directly from 2010 till about 2018. He was always a warm and caring person. Spoke about family and he was so proud to be a Big Brother to his nephew.
We met occasionally after work with the team and shared some good memories.
I will miss him and his great energy.

It is with a heavy heart that we remember Indrajit, who always had a smile on his face and made sure to share warm wishes with everyone he crossed paths with at Toronto Hydro. His kindness and positivity were truly contagious, and he had a way of brightening any day with just a few words. I still can’t believe he is no longer with us. He will always remain in our thoughts, and his memory will continue to inspire us all. May he rest in peace.

Q: What will you never forget about Indarjit?
A: Indy and I were great friends and enjoyed one another's company. We would just hop in the car and off we would go. One time we had gone to Blue Mountain in the winter and it was beautiful!
Indy had a good soul and a strong personality.
You will be missed my friend and I'm glad I had asked you to accompany me to my 25th year at work.
Hugs,
Jacquie

Indy was the first friend I made in the Facilities Department. When I was a new student, he helped me be successful in a very challenging project and I was always grateful to him for that. When I joined Facilities full time, Indy was a constant source of support -- always reliable, always willing to help, always level-headed and logical in his solutions and advice, sharing his expertise with me to help make the best decision I could and taking the time to guide me when I needed it most. On a more personal note, when I shared with him that I was expecting he was so excited and happy for me, and even more so excited that my son would be a Scorpio like him, jokingly teasing me to watch out there :)
Indy was such a great guy, a cornerstone to our team. My deepest sympathies to all his family, friends, and colleagues. I'll greatly miss him.
