Obituary of Devanand Mahes

Devanand [Dave] Mahes, 53, of Brampton, Ontario, passed away suddenly
on February 8 th , 2025. This was the same day he arrived in Cuba to vacation with
his best friend Sudesh and cousins Mitch and Liam 20 days before his 54th
birthday.
Funeral service will be held at Lotus Funeral Home on March 10 th , 2025 at 1:30-
5:00pm with Pandit Naresh Persaud officiating of Peel Arya Samaj. Cremation will
follow. 
Dave was born at New Amsterdam Hospital in Guyana, South America to Dhanraji
and Satya Deva Mahes on February 28 th , 1971. He came to Canada when he was 10
years old, he went to high school in Montreal at Cavelier de LaSalle. From there, he
moved to Ontario in 1988. He worked as a very skilled and knowledgeable Fitter
Machinist for Javro for over 30 years. He then worked for W&M Wire and Metal up
to the day he passed away. Dave enjoyed his work, travelling with friends and family,
helping people, DJing with his brother as Master of GrooveMaster, spending time
with friends and family, music and giving to Charity. 
Dave is survived by his parents Dhanraji & Satya Deva Mahes of Brampton,
Ontario. His two sisters, Devi (Mike) Boyle and Shanti, his brother Anand, his
nephew Ryan (Jennifer) Kadharnauth, his nieces Nicole & Megan Boyle, his aunts
Moreen, Data, Lila, Shanta, His uncles Muni, Bayo, Dalim, Capil, Rudolph and
many many cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Pandit Lilboy
Mahes & Dhanmat Mahes, Kawall Nagessar and Beephia Nagessar, uncles Harry,
Dhar, Jaideo, Shook, and his aunts Doreen, Jane & Kamal.
Dave was a loving and loyal son, brother, uncle, nephew & friend. He was loved
by so many and will be terribly missed. We will always think of him as living in the
hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost, and he was loved so
very much.
