It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Rohini Rita Persaud, who left us peacefully at the age of 75, surrounded by the love of her family. Rita was the beloved wife of Lakhanlal and the cherished daughter of Siwa and Biptie. She was a devoted sister to Florrie, Paul, and Shirley, and is lovingly remembered by the families of her late siblings Benua, Dun, Rajo, and Buddy Bai. A loving mother to Anita (late Raj), Sunita (Jasbir), David, and Richard (Kirstin), Rita’s greatest joy was her family. She was a proud and caring grandmother to Nalini (Jelani), Shalini, and William. Rita will be remembered for her warmth, her lively spirit, and the comfort she gave to everyone around her. Her love, strength, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
