It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bina Juan Martinez, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on July 29th 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Bina was known for her strength, kindness, resilience and unwavering love for those around her. Her warm smile and generous heart touched everyone she met. She lived a life rooted in loyalty, service, and resilience, always placing the needs of others before her own.

As a youth, Bina was an accomplished billiards player and champion bowler. As an adult, she loved taking long contemplative walks in any weather, traveling to the beaches of the Dominican Republic, and teaching her granddaughters to dance bachata.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Bina’s greatest joy came from her family. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love, laughter, grace and witty humor that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She is survived by her loving mother, Savitri Kripalani; brother Anil Kripalani; sister Anita Kapoor; daughter Tanya Martinez, and treasured granddaughters Nyali and Nyromi Amparo Martinez, as well as many close family members, friends, and colleagues who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of Bina’s life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025 from 3pm-5pm at Lotus Funeral & Cremation Centre, 121 City View Drive, Toronto ON M9W 5A8.

Though she may no longer walk beside us, Bina’s spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know her.
