Obituary - Parasnauth Ramroop

It is with profound sadness and grieving hearts, that we announce the passing of our dearest, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Parasnauth Ramroop, well known as Pappy, and fondly called Paps. He was born in Georgetown, Guyana on August 29, 1947, to the late Ramroop and Baidwattie, and departed, peacefully, from his home on Tuesday September 09, 2025. As a young man, he attended Broad Street Primary School, Trinity Methodist, and Guyana Oriental College
in Georgetown. He was an active member of East Demerara Lions Club and participated in a number of social and charitable engagements.
He loved cricket and played competitively along with other relatives in the 1970’s. He enjoyed playing dominoes, cards, and draught. He was an excellent cards and draught player. He was a businessman for  most of his life and was the founder of P. Ramroop & Sons.

As he left the mortal world, he was surrounded by his loving family, in an atmosphere of sincere prayers.
He was 78 years old and leaves to mourn:

Viewing, funeral service, and cremation, will take place at Lotus Funeral & Cremation Centre at 121 City
View Drive, Etobicoke, M9W 5A8.
There will be a viewing of his earthly remains on Sunday September 14, 2025 between 6:00 PM and 9:00
PM.
The funeral service and cremation will take place on Monday September 15, 2025 between 11:00 AM and
1:00 PM.
