Mrs.Jayalakshmi Jayakumar passed away in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada on Oct 14th 2025 after a year long battle with cancer. She had just turned 75 and had lived a blessed and happy life. 

She was born in Chennai and lived her formative years there before a married life that took her to lands near and far including Mumbai, Oman, Canada. She also spent some time in Nana Nani Homes in Coimbatore during the last few years. She was bubbly and full of joy with a constant gaggle of friends and visitors who joined her in various activities that ranged from musical performances, temple rituals and volunteering. 

She leaves behind her two sons, their spouses, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
