Obituary of Budlal Deosaran

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we share the passing of Budlal “Brian/Dave” Deosaran on November 22, 2025 at the age of 79. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend passed away peacefully surrounded by family leaving behind a legacy of warmth and connection. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Indra; their children: Ang (Marc), Bobby (Lisa) and Amanda (Tim); grandchildren: Lukas and Liam.

He is also survived by his daughter, Catherine (Maurice); grandchildren: Mark (Kristy), Austin; great grandchildren: Jaxon, Dakota and Charlotte.   

Born in Preysal Village, Couva, Trinidad, Brian was the first of nine in his family. He came to Canada in 1967 where he attended post-secondary school in Lacombe, Alberta and eventually Waterloo, Ontario. He dedicated 44 years to his career at Hauser Industries.  

Brian’s vibrant spirit shone through his love of music, and sports, especially cricket and golf. He was dedicated to seeing his family thrive, helping them get started in Canada, ensuring his children had enriching lives; and more recently, he enjoyed teaching his young grandsons to golf and cheering them on in their various endeavours. 

A Visitation will be held on Sunday November 30th at 2-5pm, followed by the Funeral on Monday December 1st at 11am - 1pm, both days at Lotus Funeral Home and Cremation at 121 City View Dr, Toronto, ON M9W 5A8.

Memorial Donations may be made in Brian’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
