Obituary of Ramragie Sheosanker

Please share a memory of Ramragie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Ramragie Sheosanker, 84, was born on August 29, 1941, in Guyana village number 2 She was the daughter of the late Walter and Sumintra Johan. Later in life, she migrated to Canada and made Toronto, Ontario, her home.

Ramragie was married to the late Latchman Sheosanker. Together they had two daughters, Preya and Kavita. She was also a loving mother to four children from previous marriages: her daughter Nedera Flanigan, her son Charles, who passed away, her daughter Indira, and her daughter Drupattie.

She was a proud grandmother to Roger, Megan, Miranda, Justine, Jasmine, Jeff, Tristan, Leon, and Nalisa, and she was blessed with many great-grandchildren. Ramragie also shared a special bond with her son in law Sean, whose love and support meant so much to her, and whom she cherished as if he were her own son.

Ramragie was a quiet, gentle, and easy going woman who loved the comfort of her home. She wasn’t outgoing and preferred to keep to herself, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family sitting, talking, laughing, and simply enjoying their company. She lived her life with humility and grace.

It is with deep sadness that we share that Ramragie passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital at 2am.  She will forever live on in our hearts. May she rest in gentle peace.

This is a difficult time for the family, and we pray that God grants them strength and comfort as they grieve the loss of someone so deeply cherished.
