Obituary of Chatarpaul Bishun
Chatarpaul Bishun, age 79, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Chatarpaul, fondly known as Sonna or Kawal to his immediate family, was born on January 9, 1946, in Uitvlugt, Guyana, to the late Alice and Bishun Jim Satnoo. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man who was known for his kindness, generosity, and deep love for those around him.
He is survived by his wife, Padma Bishun; his four children, Ishree (Nadira), Sarah (Ken), Dolly (Randy), and Rav (Anisha); and his eight cherished grandchildren, Thea, Maya, Christine, Eric, Nicholas, Lucas, Celine, and Ashley. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings and extended family.
Chatarpaul will be fondly remembered for his funny jokes, warm smile, and generous heart. His presence brought comfort and laughter to all who knew him, and his legacy of love and family devotion will live on in the hearts of many.
