Obituary of Dhanmati Haripersaud

Dhanmati Haripersaud, 84, died on May 11, 2020 with her family by her side in Brampton, Ontario. She is also known as Sylvie but everyone now knows and calls her by “Grandma”.
She was born on March 20, 1936 in Cane Grove, Guyana to Jankey & Sceonari Ramah and has five sisters, Rosa, Lynn, Finey, Carrie & Maggie and five brothers, Willie, George, Richard, Lall, Big Brother & Basdeo.
Dhanmati married Mr. Haripersaud in December 21st, 1958 and together they had six children, Indumattie (Shirley), Rohan (Julie), Norendra (Nurry), Nandrani (Sandra), Surujdai (Janet) & Rabindra (Papo). Four of her children then migrated to Toronto, Canada and brought her over in October of 1988.
She will be remembered by her thirteen grandchildren, Mohan, Seema, Sharon, Rovin, Chris, Ashley, Robby, Kaitlyn, Syleena, Avinash, Angel, Chalsey & Kyle and ten great-grandchildren, Anthony, Shawn, Shay, Alex, Fabian, Rea, Aria, Maria, Shivraj & Nathaniel.
Dhanmati spent her life caring for all of her beautiful children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and watching her family continuously grow.
She is survived by her one sister, Carrie, five children and their spouses, thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Rohan, and her husband, Mr. Haripersaud.
