Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all...
My cousin loved with all of her heart despite her pain and silent suffering throughout the years. She was one of the strongest woman I have known. She was a fighter, a survivor and she did it with passion, kindness and a fierce love for her family. She has always put everyone and everything before herself and well being...she was selfless. She had the spirit of her mother and the soul of her father. Whenever I saw her she would often remind me of her Dad with her certain mannerism, a certain way she would move or react. If only she had the opportunity to have known him. He was the kindest, meek, gentle soul. My cousin once told me that she was very happy to have seen her children grow up, established themselves, get married and be a part of her granchildrens’ lives. She no longer have to worry anymore about their well being. She accomplished her duties as a mother and grandmother to her children and she was very happy and contented. In another conversation, she told me that to have peace of mind and happiness is the most important thing in life. Even though I knew my cousin a bit later in life, I am happy that I did get the opportunity to have known her. Words can’t express the pain each of you (her family) feel but know that she will always be in your hearts, she will always be with you and she will never leave you. Take comfort in your memories of her even though at first they will hurt. As time goes by the pain will get dull and bearable and you will endure. Take time to grieve and honor her. To my cousin, Kumarie, you will be dearly missed. Soar into the wind and fly free of pain, exhaustion and fear. Thank you for your strength, courage and abundant love. It’s your turn to now rest in beautiful eternal peace. Until we meet again, I pray your soul to keep. Sleep in beautiful peace!
