Chandrakant Patel, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2020 at the age of 62 in Toronto, Ontario.
He was born in Kampala, Uganda to Dhayabhai and Surajbhen Patel. He was the youngest of 11 siblings, growing up with 7 brothers and 4 sisters. He came to Canada in 1972 and through hard work and determination, built a career in finance, specializing in accounting. Over the last 30+ years, he worked as a controller at Northwind Canada Inc. More than an employer, he treated and was treated like family by Northwind and the entire Dehan family.
During his amazing life, he constantly faced and beat adversity. Through his battles with both cancer and Parkinson’s Disease, he remained positive, optimistic, and continued to beat the odds, always coming out stronger than before.
Loved by many, he lived his life selflessly, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best for those around him. He built a foundation for many and was a pillar in the life of countless individuals. He is defined by many things, including his love for family, his career, education, and his appetite. The memories he made and gave will forever live on, and although no longer with us physically, he will constantly be watching over us with a glowing smile.
Survived by his wife of 36 years, Vinita Patel and their two children Kekal (Rohini) Patel and Hima Patel. Recently a proud grandfather to his granddaughter Aria, and a father figure to sister-in-law Asha (Alpesh) Patel, and a son to Chandubhai (Jayabhen) Patel. He will be remembered, cherished and loved forever, and continue to live on in our hearts and through our actions.
