Obituary of Sydney Joette Fielding

It is with a broken heart and soul that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter and sister, Sydney Joette Fielding. Sydney left us November 29, 2020 to join her Nana, Lily Fielding in heaven. Sydney was born 30 years ago on August 26, 1990. A true Virgo who was a spitfire from the day she was born. Sydney was brilliant and incredibly intuitive. She taught us and our family a lot about ourselves while challenging us at every turn. Sydney was a star. She lit up the sky and she shone bright but that does not mean she felt that way inside. Sydney was a graduate of the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy. She always had great ambitions to further her education and become a lawyer. What a great lawyer she would have been! Unfortunately, destiny has a way of interfering with dreams. She was a loving sister to Sarah and Samantha and a darling daughter to Joette and Jim. Her grandparents Dean and Olivia and her aunts, uncles and cousins loved her unconditionally and loved her little glasses, effervescent smile and drive. She was the light of our lives and for many our rock. We loved her unconditionally and our hearts are broken. We cannot describe the pain we all feel. There is an emptiness that only time will diminish but it will never go away. Sydney lives in our hearts, her fire is everywhere and her spirit is with Charlie, her beloved Pomchi that is now Joette's Charlie. When we look at Charlie it is uncanny, we see Sydney. We think of her everyday and we are not going to say goodbye because we know she is here with us always. We will never let you go Sydney, we love you! In lieu of flowers, our family would like you to support the efforts of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (“CAMH.ca”) in Sydney's honour.
