Obituary of Saitnauth Dyal

Please share a memory of Saitnauth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Peacefully, on the morning of June 23, 2021, Saitnauth Dyal, our beloved husband, father and Aja (grandfather) passed away surrounded by his family. Sait will be missed by his beloved wife of nearly 49 years, Marlene, and surviving sons, Navin and his wife Simi and Avi and his wife Tiffany and his grandchildren, Nare, Devin, Amaya and Miles and of course Roxy. Predeceased by his youngest son Rishi. Sait was born in Cambelleville, Georgetown, Guyana - the 4th child of Bhikham also known as Prabhoodyal and Rajcoomarie. He was the first person in his family to graduate from the University of Guyana in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He worked as a history teacher in Guyana teaching at West Demarara Public School teaching GC levels. Looking for a better life, he moved to Canada in December 1977 with his wife and eldest son. After working initially sweeping floors at a factory, before having a long and successful career working in the IT department of one of Canada’s largest personal insurance companies, Sait finally realized his passion for entrepreneurship when he became a franchise owner of Oil Changers in 1996. In the years since, his business prospered and provided opportunities for both his family and many others that have gone on to successful careers elsewhere. Sait was a devoted and active member of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, which began when was he was a young student in Guyana and continued right up until his passing. Sait loved to sing and play music. He would often be asked to sing bhajans at religions and celebratory functions. In retirement Sait and Marlene spent their time travelling, mostly on cruise ships. Sait was also an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors enjoying nature. In keeping with Sait’s wishes, a short religious ceremony followed by cremation will be held at the Lotus Funeral and Cremation Center in Etobicoke, Ontario Canada on Sunday June 27th at 11:30 am. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, in-person attendance will be limited and by invitation only. For those not invited to attend in person, or otherwise unable to attend, a Zoom video link to observe the ceremony will be provided. We ask that those receiving the Zoom link to not share the link with others without first discussing with the Family, as the number of attendees on Zoom is also limited. If you wish to express your sympathy by making a donation, consider the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation at Donate | Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (thepmcf.ca), or any charity close to your heart. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please be advised about the temporary limitation of funeral services in GTA, as per the following link: https://thebao.ca/registrars-directive-bao-additional-restrictions-for-bereavement-sector/ Our building will be able to accommodate the following under these guidelines set out by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) and Public Health.
