With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ajit Singh, our loving and devoted grandfather, father, brother, uncle and friend to all those he met, on October 30, 2021. He was in his 84th year.
Born in Rakran Dhaha, Punjab, Ajit and his family moved to Canada in 1992.
Ajit was the beloved Papa of sons Avtar, Krishan (Naveen) and late Satnam (Kulbir). He was the adored Baba of Jasvir (Navjot), Barinder, Aman, Aaron, Anisha, Aleena and Amita. He is survived by his devoted brother Charan Rakkar (Balvinder) and sister Darshan Kandola (Gulzar). He leaves behind loving nieces and nephews, Kiran (Narinderpal), Navita, Sarina, Lisa (Jamie), Tony (Deepi) and Amanpaul.
Ajit lived a full life and found joy in every day. He loved to garden, cook, travel, dance and to play cards with his friends. Ajit will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a fun-loving man, creative fixer of all things and the ultimate sports fan. His joyous presence will be missed by all. He is especially missed by Snoopy Rakkar.
A celebration of life will be held at Lotus Funeral Home, 121 City View Dr. Etobicoke, Ontario on Saturday November 6, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
