He quickly put his tailoring skills to use working at Star Bedding and eventually Springwall before he retired. He was a hard worker and spent many years as the Plant Manager where he was responsible for all the manufacturing of mattresses to supply major companies such as Sears and others. During this time he also had side jobs as a talented upholster. Mr. Sankar was very social and love getting together with family members for a dinner or a party. At the same time he was also very religious and dedicated a lot of his time to the mandir. He loved going to the mandir on a Sunday and listening to the pandits and bhajans. He would also make sure to attend poojas of family members and friends. He loved all of his family and friends very much, would do anything for them and was always concerned about their well-being and have them in his thoughts. He was always full of advice and wisdom for everyone especially the grandchildren or any of the younger family members. His message was always for them to get an education, work hard, find a nice job and then further your education to get an even better job. He loved talking to family and friends every day and will reach out if you missed calling him. Always wanted to know the details of your day, how your job or school is going. He loved watching the news and can have a conversation about any topic from politics to sports. He is a big fan of the Trudeaus as says the elder Trudeau was responsible for allowing immigrants. He was not a big fan of Trump. Mr. Sankar lived his life to the fullest, he worked hard his entire life often holding down multiple jobs. He was able to travel and take many well-deserved vacations with his wife.
