Obituary of Richard Ramnauth Ramsarran

We are deeply saddened to share this announcement. Richard Ramnauth Ramsarran born November 8th 1948 peacefully passed away in the arms of the lord on April 23rd 2022, at the age of 73 with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Latchmin (Data) Ramsarran, his two wonderful children, Ryan Ramsarran and Ramona Sukhdeo. He was a devoted grandfather to Ramon, Randy and Nicholas, cherished brother of Rexy, Ricky, Roslyn and Rona, and proud father-in-law to Sabrina and Robin. Richard was also a loving brother-in-law to Hassan, Janet, Carmin, and a dear uncle to Rafeena, Cheresa, Regina, Sabita, Priya, Kaitlyn, Alvin, Edward, Mickey and Robby. Richard Ramsarran was born In Guyana 1948, where he raised his beautiful family and had a successful career until he retired in 2004 and migrated to Canada. His demeanor was that of a loving, caring, sincere, social and intellectual person. One of his outstanding traits as his wife would say is being “free handed”. He was also an outgoing and happy man that fulfilled his commitments to his family and friends. His favorite role was spoiling his three grandsons and we all feel tremendously blessed having him in our lives. As a spiritual person he accepted the lord Jesus Christ as his savior, he will be forever missed by his family but we take immense comfort in knowing he lived his life to the best of his competence and is resting in peace in Heaven. Richard’s words of wisdom were “Always hold your head up” and by this he meant know your worth and don’t ever let anyone else take that power from you!
