Obituary of Gurmit Kaur Randhawa

Gurmit Kaur Randhawa passed away peacefully Friday morning at the age of 81 years old. Gurmit was born in Kapurthala, Punjab on March 22, 1941 to Amar Kaur and Mohinder Singh Sandher. She moved to Canada in 1977 as a first-generation immigrant and started a new life there with her husband and children.

Gurmit was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed socializing with others, going on walks and spending time with her loved ones. Gurmit had a nurturing personality and especially had a soft spot for children. Her radiant smile lit up the room and she was one to bring people together with her friendly nature. Her generosity and warmth touched the lives of many. Gurmit was a compassionate person, one who put others before herself and she was devoted to her family. Gurmit will always be remembered for her big heart and kindness towards others. 

Gurmit is predeceased by her daughter Baljit Kaur, her husband Sohan Singh, and her brother Gurmeet Singh. She is survived by her children Daljit and Parmjit, her five grandchildren: Jasminder, Navdeep, Jagroop, Maya, and Jayden, and her brother Surjit Singh. We will miss her dearly.
