Lachmi ‘Mayo’ Ramroop was called to heaven on January 9, 2023 at the age of 88, peacefully.

She was born on December 17, 1934 to Finey Mangree and Panchoo of Alness Village, Corentyne, Berbice, Guyana. She was predeceased by her siblings, Daro, Dan, Brahash, Celo, Jayo, and survived by Devika, Chuney, Haresh, and Penny. She later moved to Letterkenny Village and lived with her husband Cyril ‘Ironman’ and her children the Late Savitri, Late Terry, Late Lila, Data, Yvonne, Jerome, Jerry and Shamoo. She was blessed to be loved by her 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She immigrated to Canada, June of 1982 at the age of 48 with her husband, where she continued to work hard to become notable and respectable citizens who established themselves as pillars in their local community.

She was known to all as a hard worker, very generous, caring, loving and non-judgemental. She always had her arms open for anyone that needed help. She will be remembered for her lovely smile and sweet soul.

May she continue to take her endless shots of rum while resting in eternal peace.
