Ishwar was a dear friend of mine. He helped and successfully defended a lot of my Bengali friends and family with legal disputes. Every single person that I referred to Ishwar had nothing but kind things to say about him. I was not aware until recently that he had passed away. He was always honest and transparent. A very skilled and good hearted man, Ishwar will be dearly missed by all those that had the privilege to get to know him.

I am so very saddened to learn of Ish's untimely passing. He was a key mentor, confidante and old brother/friend who first shaped my desire to enter the legal field. I have such wonderful memories of "Uncle Ish". May his soul rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with Ann, the family and Matt.

I had the honour of being in Ish's inner circle of friends in law school. Although many years have passed since that time, the special adventures that we shared away from the stresses of law studies will forever be cherished. I remember, still to this day, how special he made me feel whenever we spent time together. He was a kind soul who loved people and life. He was always happy and fun to be around. It was a blessing to have known him. His wake was truly inspiring. Listening to all of the speeches, I came to understand Ish’s true character more fully and understand why I felt compelled to attend his wake all these years later. A true testament to the “gentle man”that was Ish. Eternal rest be granted unto you my dear friend. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We’ve know Ish for over 30 plus years. We are so grateful and blessed to have known him. Each time he comes in for a haircut he would ask how our family is doing. He was kind enough to offer to help our kids practice writing the LSAT and offered my eldest son a student job in his firm. He didn’t have to, but he did out of the goodness of his heart, genuinely caring. He has made a positive impact in our lives, something we would never forget and will always hold dear to our hearts. He was truly an honourable man. He is gone too early, we will surely miss him.

Q: How did you meet Dharneshwar?
A: In 2012 we moved from Toronto to Ramara, Ontario and didn’t know what to expect in such a faraway place but we were lucky enough to have met Ishwar who was just next door. We were so happy to have met him and his family. I remember those nights when we sat around the fire pit in the wide open starlit skies with our favourite music in the background. Ish always mentioned those memorable moments. Ish was a humble and caring friend. He was always willing to offer a helping hand whenever I was working in the yard. We were blessed to have him as a neighbour and friend.

These people will always listen and talk to you.
They will care about your happiness and well-being.
They will like you for who you are and they will support you at all times.
