Dotsie was a remarkable personality, extremely motivated and focused on what she wanted to achieve -walk again, regardless any roadblocks and challenges! Nothing could stop her from attending the Gym.
One of her favourite piece of music was "Ode to Joy" and Fortunato our activity facilitator played it for her. Dotsie established a close friendship with one of the residents Henry. Both loved to come to our Tea/Coffee socials. Being a true lady she cared so much about how her hair looked. She found beauty in flowers and created her little piece of art.
In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life from her- never give up, love the life you live and life is going on.
Dotsie will be greatly missed by her friends, staff, volunteers in Chartwell Grenadier Residence. Our sincere condolences to the family.
