Obituary of Phuong Tam Ngo
It is with the heaviest of hearts we are sharing the loss of Tam Ngo.
Tam was vibrant and warm and lit up every room she walked into. She was known for her quick wit and her endless positivity.
Tam graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Chemistry, and worked at Apotex as a Quality Control Chemist. She loved the outdoors, anything related to Hello Kitty, and hosting her friends for elaborate meals.
Tam met the love of her life, Brian, in the summer of 2019 and had an intimate wedding ceremony with her loved ones the week before she passed. Tam was diagnosed with Stage 4 Sarcoma last year and fought a relentless battle. Her unwavering optimism and strength throughout this turbulent year, in addition to the happiness she brought those around her every day, are the main aspects of the legacy Tam leaves behind.
Tam is survived by her husband, Brian Shimizu, her parents, Hien Van Ngo and Hong Bich Thi Nguyen, her sister and brother in law, Phuong Ngo and David Phandanouvong, her sister in law Gillian Shimizu, and her parents in law, Jane Tamaki, Jeff Shimizu and Kathy Bocsi.
