How did I meet Sharon?
Sharon interviewed me when I was looking to change careers and come to CIBC. She was very nice, but I was very nervous as I really needed the job. After about an hour of interview questions, she had to lead me out the security doors and our elevator ride down was full of me asking if I got the job or not. She remained professionally informing me that it's not up to her, only to get a call from her an 1hr later saying I got the job. I ended up working in her Team C.A.R.E.S and remained with her until I moved on with my career. She was so loving, friendly and truly made coming to work exciting. You will be truly missed Sharon. Heard about your passing recently and I hope you are truly resting.

Dear Zoe & Zander,
I used to be your neighbour. We lived across the street from you at the house you lived in when you were born (Banbrooke Crescent in Newmarket). I was there when your parents brought you home for the first time and outside for your first walks.
I'll never forget how proud your mom was of you and how much she loved introducing you. I knew her for a while before you were born and you both brought such a change into her life. She became so much more complete, and had a glow of love and purpose that was so radiant. It was easy to understand - you both were so happy and curious that it felt magical. My own kids would always hope to get a glimpse of you when we went outsife.
I remember helping your dad install your very first car seats. You can't imagine how important our work felt. It was as if your safety and wellbeing depended entirely on how tight we made the straps, so we pulled on those straps with as much strength as we could possibly summon for you. It felt like a sacred responsibility. This is some insight into the mood around your arrival. You most precious, special little people that we all felt dedicated to doing our very best for.
You smiled at us, but your loving gaze was just for your mom. She was always so happy and full of positive, loving energy. I used to spend a lot of nights sitting outside with your dad, drinking coffee and talking. I've rarely met a father so dedicated and enchanted with with his children and young family. His love for all of you was so deep and intrinsic and he loved sharing every datail of your growth and progress.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom. We'll never forget her friendship, and we will honor her by always being available to you if you ever need anything we're in a position to provide.
All our love. Your friends forever, the Klieb Family - Sandy. Deidra, Kai & Sasha.

Q: How would you describe Sharon to someone who had never met them?
A: Sharon had such a beautiful heart. She was always so happy to see me and made me feel important even before she knew me very well. She was always smiling, dancing, or asking if you needed anything. She always had one of her kids on her arm whenever I saw her, and loved them dearly. She was a great friend, and even supported me and my music from when I was just starting out, to playing my songs in the house and dancing with the kids which meant so much to me. I love you Sharon, thank you for being everything that you were.

The passing of our dear Sharon has devastated us all but the wonderful memories that she created with all of us and the impact she had on our lives will continue to live on. We’ll continue to cherish these memories and fun moments and it will fill our hearts with laughter and joy and that is how our beautiful Sharon would have liked to be remembered.
Sharon was one of the kindest and sweetest people that came into our lives. For my family and I, some of the most special moments are attributed to Sharon.
She was very family oriented and she always wanted her children to be integrated with the family. In 2009, we went on a family cruise and her presence made it so much more enjoyable, she just loved the fact of being at sea with her loved ones and most importantly she truly loved the beach and sunshine. Sharon, now you are at peace and you can have eternal sunshine and beach breeze. I remember when Sharon would call the house phone at midnight to talk to my eldest daughter, Nadia, and Sharda would tell Sharon that she shouldn't be calling people so late, but Sharon just loved talking to her cousins. I will miss her giggle as she would always say "oh just have another glass of wine."
Sharon is the perfect definition of a loving mother is, a compassionate sister, a supportive wife, an admirable daughter, and a cherished cousin and niece. We may have lost an important person who was only on this earth for 38 years, but we gained an angel who will remain with us in our hearts forever. She shared a lifetime of joy and memories with us. She managed to touch everyone’s hearts in her own special way and we are all eternally grateful to have been blessed with her time here with us.
Sharon, you are now reunited with grandma, grandpa, Uncle Paul and Uncle Buddy now. I love you always and forever.
Love, Aunty Cho

Our beautiful cousin Sharon,
You are deeply missed and loved.
Your smile was infectious; your spirit vibrant. We will never forget dancing the night away with you, not able to keep up with your endless energy. You were beyond thoughtful and selfless. You made sure to call every birthday or special occasion and I will miss hearing your cheerful voice say “Sonjie”. You always had a positive outlook with not a single bad thing to say. You were a light radiating happiness and love, and everyone could feel it whenever they were around you.
A beautiful life lived to the fullest with so many wonderful memories, yet taken way too soon from us all. Our hearts feel heavy thinking of a family event without your presence there.
Thank you for all the smiles, laughs and love. Your memory will forever live on in Zoe and Zander.
Rest in eternal paradise sweet cousin.

Sharon was a happy, caring, smart, thoughtful, and lovable person. As cousins we have shared so many precious memories. She was always the first on and the last off the dancefloor. She could salsa all night in her stilettoes. She played such a pivotal part in each and every life she touched. Her welcoming heart always made everyone feel loved and included. She had a smile, with her signature Mac "dance with me lipstick", that would light up a room. Her beautiful face will be so missed. We love you so much Sharon. We know you are probably looking down on us and wishing you could be here to comfort each and everyone one of us. We still can't believe you are gone. Life can be so unfair, and you were taken from us way too soon.
To the Hubraj and Laljie families, we love you all, and will continue to support you through this devastating time. Zoe and Zander, we love you and will be there for you. Your mom's love for you was a love like no other, and she is going to look down on you shower you with her love from above.

Sharon, I remember the days at Charlton when you were in kindergarten and I was in grade 3. You had spunk at that age and were always fun to be around. I was so sorry to hear about you, but I know that you are in a better place, and at peace.
I can only offer a message from the Bhagvad Gita for Paul, Zoe, Zander and your parents and I hope that it helps to give them comfort:
“na jayate mriyate va kadachin
nayam bhutva bhavita va na bhuyah
ajo nityah shashvato ’yam purano
na hanyate hanyamane sharire”
Translation
The soul is neither born, nor does it ever die; nor having once existed, does it ever cease to be. The soul is without birth, eternal, immortal, and ageless. It is not destroyed when the body is destroyed.
“The soul is glorious, unborn, deathless, free from old age, immortal, and fearless.” THIS is you Sharon Neera Laljie!

Sharon was always happy and cheerful in all the years I knew her. Her entire family welcomed my whole family into their home. Sharon has a very special warmth to her. She always wanted the best for those around her. She always saw the good in people. Even though I haven’t seen her in a few years most of my childhood memories include Sharon. Sharon was like another sister to me, always making sure we were laughing and having fun times. Rick, ryan and myself would always pick up Sharon from work in our younger days, every weekend that I would sleep over. Then Sundays were wonton soup days and floor beds, followed by endless movies!!!! Those, among so many others memories will always be true and dear to my heart and I will cherish them forever, as well as share them with our kids! Sharon emanated an unrivalled kindness and selflessness. Her smile could light up a room and she had an infectious positive energy. I always loved spending time with Sharon and in my mind she always held the title of “coolest and nicest older sister”. My love for Sharon started when she would drive Shar and me to school after our lunch break with her music blasting. Of course, we could’ve walked 5 minutes but Sharon was too nice and kind to make us walk. Her cool older sister title would extend to nights out in our teenage years and early twenties. I’ll always remember Sharon doing my hair, letting me borrow her clothes (even though I was twice her size), and making sure I was well fed; before, during, and after any outing. Of all the memories, I’ll never forget when Sharon came to visit me in India with Sharleene. It was during that trip my bond to Sharon really grew and I felt like I had gained a sister of my own. It’s hard to understand how someone so kind and full of life could be taken from us so soon. She will be sorely missed and never forgotten. All my love to the entire family . May your memories provide some comfort.

As one of Sharon's older cousins, we spent a lot of summers together at each other's houses. Some years Sharon, Rick, Ryan and Sharleene would visit us in NY and other years my little sister Sunita and I would visit in Canada. These memories were priceless and always filled with fun, jokes and laughter. I remember Sharon would just run up to us and randomly give us a hug. It wasn't just any hug...it was a tight, loving and warm hug that only Sharon can give! That's who she was. She appreciated the moments as small and as trivial as they may be. She appreciated that we were together and wanted to capture that moment with all of her energy. As Sharon got older, I admired her ability to stay close to her family and also be true to herself. I was so happy she met the love of her life, Paul and expanded their love into a beautiful family with Zoe and Zander. I am so happy my family, my husband Chris, daughter Shriya and son Vishal were able to visit and spend time with Sharon and the family in 2019. She went above and beyond as she always did to make the kids comfortable (making snacks, playing games and entertaining them). I was so proud of the Mom she blossomed into and the love for her children and mine was immeasurable. Sharon, I will miss you so much and I will hold you and those beautiful memories close to my heart forever. Rest in peace. To Paul, Zander, Zoe and the entire family, although we are far we will always be here for you and sending you prayers of peace and comfort during this solemn time. We love you. Shal and Family

Sharon, you were the most warm, loving and beautiful soul. The light you carried from within shined so bright and deep. I remember all the times we visited Canada, and you were so generous and thoughtful, and you made us feel right at home. The times when you guys came to visit us in New York, we had so much fun staying up all night, eating pizza, and going shopping. I will treasure those memories forever.
We would like to express our deepest condolences to all your loved ones. Your beautiful spirit will live on through your loving family and amazing children Zoe and Zander.
May Sharon's soul rest in peace and love.
Love always, Aunty Norleen, Nalini and Nirvani

Sharon, your beautiful smile lit up every room. Your radiance was resounding. You made our entire family feel more than welcome when we stayed at your home in Canada, in your room. Watching you grow and become a wife and mother was remarkable. Amidst any challenge you were able to tackle it with a smile. The last time we saw you Zoe and Zander were in each of your arms both sleeping. I remember us all laughing together talking about when you found out you were pregnant with Zander right after Zoe. So many special and precious memories each one better than the next. Your spunky aura could turn any dull moment into a special one.
To all of Sharon’s close loved ones, she will be your North Star, looking over you when you need her. Shining just as bright in the sky as her time with us Sharon will always be a star. Sending you all so much love now and forever.
Love, Uncle Rohan, Aunty Chandra, Ashley and Sharanya

Being longtime friends with Sharon will always stay with me forever. We met back in 2007 at CIBC and I remember, she would walk by my desk and say hello. I had replied and said, “hello – are you Ryan sister?” She would smile and say “Yes I am” – so proudly. From there we became instant friends. Sharon is a rare gem. She is attentive, kind, thoughtful and always had a positive outlook in life. Her family and friends were absolutely everything to her. We had such fun memories; outings, road trips, heartfelt chats and I am incredibly gifted and honored to call her one of closest friends.
My deepest condolences to her husband, Paul, her beautiful kids, Zoe and Zander. Her parents, her siblings (Sharleene, Ryan and Rick), her extended family members and dearest friends. Sharon was a beautiful light on this earth. RIP my beautiful friend. I will love and miss you always.

I have such fond memories playing with Sharon and the other cousins as children, especially staying at each other's houses. Sharon was always so loving, kind, and caring to people in our family, from the youngest to the oldest. As adults, we connected over having kids around the same age and we both loved sharing pictures and updates about our families. Sharon always remembered the kids' birthdays.
Zoe and Zander--your mom devoted her life to you guys. Even from afar, it was so easy to see that she loved being your mom more than anything and always took such great care of you. She'll be your angel continuing to protect you and guide you. We look forward to seeing you when we visit Canada, but you will also always have your Auntie Sun's prayers, love, and open arms if you ever want to come visit Texas.
May Sharon's soul rest in eternal peace.
With our deepest condolences,
Ankur, Sunita, Diya, and Ved

Q: How did you meet Sharon?
A:
I met Sharon through Paul in 2016 and since then she’s impacted my life in many ways.
I watched her move from girlfriend, to fiancé, to wife and mother and she took on each new stage of her life with such grace and elegance. She showed both her kids and her husband the most patience and gave them so much love. Her and Paul had a chemistry I admired and I remember Paul coming to work talking to his co-workers about the great things she’d cook or do. At the time I didn’t know her well, but the way he’d talk about her she seemed take pride in caring for others.
Every time I would catch up with Paul through video chat Sharon would always come up and say hello and offer her wisdom in whatever I was currently facing: whether it be a gassy baby, a trendy recipe or navigating the world of home ownership. She always offered advice that I appreciated and used.
I pray that Paul, Zoe, Zander and all of Sharon’s loved ones find the strength and peace to handle her premature departure from this world.
Love,
Nazlene, Shawn and Jayden Shivcharan.

Q: How did you meet Sharon?
A: I worked with Paul at SunLife Financial and when Paul introduced me to Sharon years ago and told me he was going to marry her, I was just elated since Sharon was the perfect soulmate for Paul. She was smiling when I met her that first day, that smile I will not forget and the love Paul and her had for each other when they looked at each other. We will miss you, my dear Sharon and the love you had for your family. My heart goes out to Paul and the kids and I pray you find peace. Sharon, rest in peace, my precious girl, we love you and will miss you dearly. Another angel has left the world.

Q: How did you meet Sharon?
A: I had the pleasure of meeting Sharon at the OMAI Advisor Conference in British Columbia, which she attended with Paul.
Her infectious smile, positive attitude, and joyous personality left a lasting impression on me.
After the birth of their daughter Zoe, they kindly invited me to their home, which was filled with love and happiness.
I will never forget the precious moments we shared, where I witness the depth of their love for one another and their daughter.
These memories of Sharon will forever remain with me.

Sharon and I met in 2013 when we became work partners. We became fast friends. Sharon wasn’t like anyone else I knew, she was so encouraging and caring for everyone. She was so accepting of everyone for who they are. I learned a lot from Sharon. She was so close with her family. She was such a blessing to everyone she met. I miss you dearly precious Sharon. ❤️. Praying for comfort for your kids, husband, siblings, parents, cousins and everyone else whose lives you touched.

I’m so saddened by Sharon’s passing. She fought long and hard, but in the end it was her time to leave this earth. Sharon loved her family so much and always lit up when she talked about Paul and the kids. I am going to miss her so much and was honoured to call Sharon one of my close friends inside and outside of work. I know what a tremendous loss this is for all who had the pleasure of knowing her. I know her spirit will always be watching over her babies. Until we meet again my beautiful freind.

Q: How would you describe Sharon to someone who had never met them?
A: Sharon was full of life and had infectious energy that ran through her bones. She made us laugh and had so much love to give. She adored her family and her face would light up every time she talked about them. She was never angry and always saw the glass as half full.
We will miss you Sharon and will forever cherish you in our hearts. May your soul rest in peace.

Q: How did you meet Sharon?
A: I met Sharon through Paul as I worked with Paul at SunLife Financial when he was an Advisor there in around 2009/2010. Immediately when I met Sharon, she had this beautiful smile and Paul was smiling all ears since he was so happy to be loved by Sharon. I was happy for both of them, they were so in love., a love that is very rare. I attended their wedding and watched them grow their small family and was always having a great time. I will miss Sharon with all my heart and my love goes out to Paul and the kids through this difficult unbearable time in their lives. I love you all and pray you find peace. Rest in peace, my dear Sharon, gone too soon...

My deepest sympathieves for your loss all this bright star.
I would like to share a little story about Sharon and I.
Sharon was my team lead 2 times for a short period of time.
The 1st time around I was coming back from medical leaveSo we sat down and had a little chat caught up. And she noticed my jewelry, So she asked me about what I am wearing. I explained to her that it has to do with crystal having their own way of healing you. Sharon was absolutely fascinated and listen very attentively to my story.
The next day I came to the office with a small bag that contained a few crystals that I picked just for her. I told But each crystal means but I also included a piece of paper with the names of the crystals and what they do.
She looked at me with a big smile took the bag looked at the crystals put the crystals in the bag took her jacket and put that little bag in her Winter jacket coat pocket.
The next time she came back from Matt leave already carrying number 2 and the minute she laid eyes on me she grabbed her coat went into that inside pocket took out the little bag that I had given her a year before with all the crystals and showed it to me. She says look Linda I still have them all I carry them everywhere I go.
That is the share that I remember the big smile of excitement that giggle she had when she was happy. I will miss her terribly. Sending the family and all the friends who knew and loved her a lot of love and light and made her spirit rest free and be happy again.
Sharon if you're listening I hope to see you again in another life in another time I will know you anywhereSharon if you're listening I hope to see you again in another life in another time I will know you anywhere.
