Chacho Brina, I didn’t expect you to leave us this soon! In my eyes, you were always a fighter, a man that would never give up. Your family was your world and you would do anything to keep them happy.
I grew up talking to you via video chat and you were always the cool uncle that cared to be a part of our lives and make pleasant conversations. There was never a dull moment with you. When you finally came to NY you gave us the biggest hug ever however, the biggest and greatest hug went to your little brother…that was such a beautiful sight to see because the two of you hadn’t seen each other In so long. Years could feel like a lifetime and that hug captured all the years you two missed out on.
After that, you visited us several times but it never felt enough. My fondest memories of you was this one time when you visited, your flight was delayed and you finally came home close to midnight. You weren’t In the mood for a big meal so you asked me for some crackers. After tumbling thru our cupboards I found some Belvita and offered it to you. You started eating it and you realized they were expired and pointed it out to me. I apologized sincerely and you laughed it off and continued eating the crackers. You didn’t want me to feel bad.
Another memory was coming home to a big pot of kitree you made. I never liked kitree but the one you made tasted the best! You took the liberty to cook us food since we all had work and school. No one has ever done that for my family. I saw you in a different light that day. You are the type of person that doesn’t like to sit around and not do nothing…you are hard working man and like to keep yourself busy!
Chacho I wish I had more time with you! You will forever be loved and missed…you will most certainly live on in our memories!
