Thank you to everyone attending both in person and virtually. We are gathered here for the hindu rights commemorating the passing of Krisandeth Ramlal. Kris was born on January 13, 1951 in Trinidad and Tobago. He worked for over 30 years at Chrysler Canada as a technician, however his true passion was playing and teaching golf. Even in these last few months when we would visit him in the hospital, he would watch videos of us at the driving range and tell us where we needed to improve our swing. Specifically his grandson, our son Leo would make him laugh because he would swing his golf club like he was taking a slap shot with a hockey stick. He also kept his sense of humour. Every time he’s see Leo, he’d ask him if he had a girlfriend yet and Leo would reply with an emphatic “NOOOO”. One time when the nurse came in to test his blood sugar he howled in pain “OW OW OW” and the nurse nearly jumped out of her shoes. Then he grinned at her mischievously. Kris spend much of his time over the last few years with his family in Thailand who he loved. He was planning to go back once he got out of the hospital but unfortunately he was just too sick. We offer our deepest condolences to Kolypan and family in Thailand as well as all of Kris’ siblings and family everywhere. He is at peace now and we won’t forget him.
