I am forever grateful to have had the pleasure and blessing of having such a wonderful, unique, verbose, and eloquent individual as one of my students in grade 8. I will always treasure my memories of her many of which will be entrenched in our discussions about life, school, philosophy, and of course our grad trip. She was, and will only ever be, one of a kind. To her family, friends, and anyone who had the joy of having her in their life, may our memories of her be forever eternal.

Deepanwita was an integral part of our musical, “The Lion King” at Castlemore Public School. She played the part of Nala. As the musical director, I remember Deepanwita having her main song “Shadowland” learned and perfected before anyone else. She brought such professionalism and dedication to her role at such a young age. The younger members of the cast looked up to her and were in awe of her beautiful singing voice. Deepanwita was a wonderful student and human being. I will never forget her.

I was fortunate enough to meet Deepanwita last year. She was someone I always admired. Always full of love and constantly uplifting everyone around her. I am heartbroken. Rest in Peace, you will be missed dearly.

I met Deepanwita when she was in Grade 8 at Castlemore Public School and she was a hardworking and dedicated student who was full of ambition and determination. It’s so hard to believe she is gone. RIP Deepanwita.

I've been in shock trying to process this as Deepanwita was someone who was full of life. I still beleive I'm going to get a call from her telling me it's all a nightmare. In the short time I knew Deepanwita, she was one of the smartest and most ambitous person I had ever met. I remember her telling me that she was grateful for life and that she knows that her purpose was spreading love. And that's exactly what she did. She made everyone feel included, talked to everyone about anything really and made people look at different perspectives. Again I'm still in shock that she's gone. In my heart and many other's she is more alive than ever. May her soul find peace. Om Shanti.

I met Deepanwita back in elementary school where we were in the same grade 4 and grade 8 class. She was such an amazing person, and an inspiration. She was a born leader and had such a bright future. Your memory lives on with the lives you touched, we won't forget you.

i met deepanwita through a school club (deca). long story short, i thought i was gonna hate my time in the club because it initially didn't go as i planned however, the 6 months in which deepanwita taught me, i had the greatest time ever. i learned so so much from her, about life, about how to believe in myself, and i truly carry the lessons she taught me with myself today. when i competed in deca last year, all i thought about was deepanwita and how i was so grateful for her, and how i owed all of my success to her. she gave me so much, and helped me become the individual i am today. i will always think of her whenever i see taylor swift, or a leafs game. she was an amazing human being, and words will never be enough to describe what a great individual she was. sending my deepest condolences to her family and friends.

deepanwita was a ray of sunshine. she had the most beautiful smile. she cared so deeply for her friends and she was one of those people that just radiated kindness. i’ll miss watching hockey highlights with her and wondering whether the leafs will make the playoffs and listening to new taylor swift albums and screaming our heads off and eating burgers on hotel room floors. i wish she could’ve known just how loved she was. i miss u angel

deepanwita is the most genuine pure transparent messy funny beautiful soul I’ve ever met. I am forever sorry we lost touch. me and deepanwita were never too close. but every 3-4 months we'd have a long chat with really really long voice memos talking everything about life, the whole dilemma of choosing the right career and her extremely tough gap year where her best friend suicided.
the best part i liked about deepanwita was when talking to her, she was always fully invested. she'd give really really really long answers in essays with excitement and thought to any question i ever asked. we could have conversations on very stupid stuff and it was awesome.
it hurts me to see this. early this year i was happy seeing her be a bit better. she was going on long walks, applying to unis, asking me for scholarships advice and things had been going well for her.
idk what the cause of death is, but it definitely makes me sad to see this.
damn. someone so smart. so bright. so loving. this is sad. shit.
if this is her family/friends seeing this, i wish you nothing but love and power.
