I wish you were still with us, I would've loved to see you be in my class. If I could make any wish then I would wish for you to come back alive in some way, we didn't talk that much but I think about you everyday, everytime I listen to Seigfried by Frank Ocean you would cross my mind. Please come back! I don't want to go to Grade 10 without you.

I have just found this heart-breaking news.....too late to attend Jethrea's celebration of life. What a beautiful girl. I am so terribly sorry for your tragic loss.

I didn't know you well but I feel empty everyday knowing that you're not with us anymore, When we first talked we clicked instantly, it was a nice memory to remember you by... I wish I could talk to you one last time.

I am so sorry to hear about Mazel's passing. Mazel was a kind spirit who embodied kindness and compassion. Though she was a student at FHCI for a short time, her presence will be sorely missed by students and staff. My thoughts are with her family as they navigate this journey of grief. We will forever cherish the memories that we had with her...may her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Mazel was a beautiful and kind soul. She was an engaging person who loved to have good conversations and had a delightful sense of humour. Her love to read was reflective in her strong ability to express herself in writing.
I only met Mazel this past September and learned about her love for her dog, volleyball and music very quickly. I soon learned how much she loved her father and how much respect and admiration she had for him. Her brother was a source of pride for her as she felt her advice would help him along his way.
I will treasure the memory of she and I, with a few other students dressing up in Christmas hats delivering gifts to some of my colleagues throughout the school just before the winter break. We were silly, laughing and full of excitement for the upcoming holiday. We came back to class where we all enjoyed cookies I made for the class. This is where I learned she was really into baking and we talked about my cookie recipe. It is a memory, of many with Mazel, I will treasure.
My heart goes out to her family who have lost this bright light. My empathy lies with her FHCI community of peers who have lost this friend and a safe source for a smile and warmth. My grief is all encompassing as the world has lost this fine young woman, on the precipice of such potential, far too soon.
Mazel will be tremendously missed and I will forever carry a piece of her in my heard.
Rest in peace dear Mazel.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mazel on December 27, 2021. Instantly I could see her internal and external beauty. She was smart and kind but mostly I remembered the love she had for her father, brother and grandparents. It was palpable. It’s true what they say, that you remember how people make you feel. Mazel made me feel the abundance of love she had for her family. I’ll never forget this feeling or her. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of Mazel, a remarkable and kind-hearted person. Mazel’s caring nature, beautiful smile, and ability to light up a room made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. It’s evident that she touched the lives of many with her warmth and positivity.
Her passion for reading and the time she spent in the HIVE at Forest Hill CI connecting with myself speaks volumes about Mazel’s inquisitive and compassionate spirit. It’s clear that she brought joy and positivity to those around her, leaving a legacy of kindness and love.
A special memory of Mazel is when she passionately described fun outings with her family and the Christmas gifts she bought them, it is a beautiful testament to the joy she found in simple yet meaningful moments. It’s moments like these that will be cherished by those who were lucky enough to share them with her.
To Mazel's family, I offer my deepest condolences during this incredibly difficult time. Mazel’s absence is deeply felt, and her memory will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, and may you find comfort in the precious memories with your sweet angel.
With love & support,
Miranda Cimera

I didn't know Mazel very well, I only really knew her from class. But her presence will forever be missed in our class and school. Mazel was a kind soul. She left the physical world far to early. She is now in a better place. Rest easy, Mazel.

She was such a sweet person filled with love and gratefulness. She had so many hopes and dreams that she wanted. I remember her writing some of her hopes and dreams on this paper at the Make Your Mark Program about wanting to be a chef when she grows up and wanted to travel the world. I'll always miss you forever..
