Obituary of Manoja Kathiravelu

Manoja Kathiravelu, 34, of Toronto, passed away on January 17, 2024 at her home.

Visitation will be held at Lotus Funeral and Cremation Centre in Etobicoke on Wednesday, January 24 at 6-9 pm. Funeral service will be on Thursday, January 25 at 11am followed by the cremation service at 1pm at Lotus Funeral Home

Manoja was born in Toronto to Shanmugarajah Kathiravelu and Nirmala Thampoe on May 14, 1989. She attended high school at Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute before graduating from The University of Toronto and George Brown College. She worked as a Human Resources associate for SickKids for several years. 

Manoja was beautiful, bold and full of life. As an avid reader, she often read 100 books a year and was a huge fan of comics and the Marvel universe. She loved to cook and bake and was always bringing people together through laughter and food. She loved her family and friends fiercely and had a generous and passionate spirit. 

Manoja is survived by her two brothers, Sentur, Kartigan Kathiravelu (Sandy Creighton) and both her parents.

Manoja cared deeply about many causes, including women's rights, animal welfare, and mental health. Memorial donations in her honour may be made to Kartigan Kathiravelu at kartigandk@gmail.com:
