Obituary of Sudhir Jagannath Thakur

In loving memory of Sudhir Thakur who passed away on Jun 14, 2024, at
the age of 86. Sudhir was born in Azra in 1937. He left India in 1964 to
study in England and immigrated to Canada in 1967 where he worked as a
textile chemist and real estate agent. He loved travelling in his younger
days and took joy in weekend adventures driving around Ontario. Playing
Monopoly with his best friends, debating politics or having a BBQ in the
park, he was always keeping busy. He loved playing chess and bridge and
finding the best restaurants in Toronto. Above all he valued family and
friendship. He is survived by his wife, Sumitra; daughters, Manisha, and
Varsha (married to Shiva Jayaraman); and son Yogesh; and grandchildren
Anjali, Asha, and Valmiki. Please join us for a memorial service honoring
Dad’s life on Jun 22 at 11am, to be held at Lotus Funeral Home and
Cremation Centre (121 city view drive, Toronto ON M9W 5A8)
