Obituary of Bharat Singh
Bharat at 85, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024 in the comfort of his home
surrounded by the love of his family.
He was born in Trinidad, in Bank Village Carapichima to Ramsaran and Sookranie
Singh on April 19, 1939, and was one of 12 children. Bharat is survived by his
wife Chandaye Singh, his daughter Savitri, her husband Duane and their daughter
Emma, his son Narin, Narin’s two children Shaniece and Nolan, Narin’s grand-
daughter Alaina, his sisters Phulmatie Ramcharan, Lakshmi (Doodoo) Gomez,
Surajdai Gookool, and brother, Satnarine Singh. Bharat also has many nieces and
nephews who will miss him dearly.
He was a loving, devoted husband, father, and friend to those that knew him.
At age 85, Bharat has lived a full and complete life, and was ready to depart this
world. He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him. These are his
final word, “I have lived a good life and look around, seeing all these faces
filled with love, what more can I ask for. I am ready to go.”
