Obituary of Ceneca Nisha Williams

We would like to sadly announce the passing of Ceneca Nisha Williams, 73, who passed away on Sunday August 25, 2024 in Mississauga, Ontario. Also known as Neeka, Neeks, Grundy, Aunty or Mom by her friends and family.

Ceneca was born on July 8, 1951 in New Amsterdam, Guyana. She was born to Evelyn and Cephas and is the oldest of her sister and five brothers. She spent her early life in Guyana where her sister and brothers described her as intelligent, funny and capable of anything. She met and married Lenny, and they later had a daughter, Jessy, who was born after Ceneca immigrated to Canada. Ceneca and her daughter proceeded to live a fun and loving life in Canada.

In Canada, Ceneca enjoyed laughing and making friends with anyone that came her way. She is known by her friends, family and community as someone who was always making conversation, cracking unbearably funny jokes and walking "up and down Dundas". Everyone loved her! She especially loved her family and daughter whom she dedicated a lot of time and effort to. She always made sure everyone's birthday was special, with a happy birthday song, and she will be missed.

Ceneca is predeceased by her mother Evelyn, father Cephas, former husband Lenny and many close friends.  She leaves behind her daughter Jessica "Jessy", one sister Cheryl, five brothers Kenneth, Norman, Stanley, Leslie and Bluey, sister-in laws Arti and Devika, nieces and nephews Vanessa, Kevin, Richard, Gabby, Edgar etc. and her close friends whom she loved dearly.

Funeral service will be held at Lotus Funeral and Cremation Centre on September 7, 2024 from 3:30-5:00PM. Cremation to follow.

Light refreshments will be provided. If possible, please sign physical guest book on day of service.
