July 19, 1934 – September 10, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Reetanjally Santokhi, age 90, who left us on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Born in Guava Bush, Albion Estate, Guyana, Reetanjally was the beloved daughter of Murat Ramsaroop and Phuldai Ramsaroop. She was the second of eleven children.

Reetanjally met her future husband, Santokhi, and together they welcomed their first child, Chandra “Chano,” in 1950. The family continued to grow with the births of Davo, Diyo, the late Balo, Babygal, the late Dolly, the late Khanki Ramanan, Chrisen, Ramesh, and Sato, totaling ten children. The family moved to Canada in 1983, where they continued to build a life filled with love and achievement. Reetanjally's family grew further with the addition of 34 cherished grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Reetanjally worked as a seamstress and was known for her skill in sewing, passion for gardening, and devotion to spending quality time with her loved ones. She was very religious and filled with kindness, her generosity touched the lives of many and she will be missed dearly.
