Obituary of Nandlal Ramjit Mathura

Nandlal Ramjit Mathura, 75 years of age, of Scarborough, Ontario, Canada passed away on September 24th, 2024 in Toronto.

Funeral and cremation service will be held at Lotus Funeral and Cremation Centre Inc. at 121 Cityview Drive Toronto, ON, M9W 5A8 on October 4th, 2024 at 11:00am with Pundit Sivaprasad officiating. The pre-ceremonial Puja will begin at 1030am.

Nandlal (Kumar) was born in Arima, Trinidad & Tobago to Ramjit & Doolarie Mathura on February 20, 1949. He migrated to Canada in 1971 and pursued his education by attending The Radio College of Canada and Centennial College in Electronics. In Trinidad, he operated a furniture store. Upon returning to Canada, he worked as a Forklift Parts Manager for BT Canada. His enthusiasm for automobiles and music such as calypso, parang and the occasional tassa were known to many.

Nandlal is survived by his wife, Kamla Mathura, sons, Ryan Ashram Mathura, Ian Omah Mathura and Ray Varune Mathura. He is preceded in death by his father, Ramjit, mother Doolarie, sister, Kaminie Boodlal and brothers Motilal Mathura, Mahadeo Mathura and Ganesh Mathura.
