Eugene Lambert’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eugene Anthony Lambert on Sabbath Nov 2, 2024, at the age of 58, surrounded by his family. Eugene was born on April 26,1966 in St Catherine Jamaica to Dottilda Sadler (nee Smith) and Cecil Lambert. He truly lived a life of tremendous passion and service to others.
Eugene met the love of his life, and beloved wife Sherril Lambert, of 32 years.
He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, Pastor, neighbour and friend . He was always a friendly and outgoing person who loved to be around people. He was an avid reader, hobby fisherman, a visionary and especially a student of the word of God.
Eugene worked as a Mechanical Designer for Winpak Portion Packaging for numerous years. Later he worked as Manufacturing Engineer for BWXT (formerly GE Nuclear) in Peterborough for 17 years. After retiring in 2023, he formed JESSL Enterprise operating as a General Contractor. In all his endeavours, Eugene was always an active servant of God. He worked as Sabbath School teacher, youth leader, prayer group leader, Elder, and later as a Pastor. He was key in the purchase of two churches for proclamation of the gospel of Christ.
Preceded in joining the Lord: Sister Patricia Bishop (nee Lambert) and Father Cecil Lambert.
Survived by: Wife Sherril Lambert; daughters Jamila and Safiya Lambert; mother Dottilda Sadler; brothers Eric Douglas, Clive Douglas, and Alphy Golding; sisters Lillian Barrett (nee Douglas), Vievene Lambert, and Petrunella Glasgow (nee Lambert), and he is survived by many Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother in laws, sister in laws, and friends.
Eugene’s passing left a deep unfillable void in our lives, yet we find comfort in the love and the precious memories we shared, and the blessed assurance we have that we will meet him in Beulah land, oh what a glory that will be.
The family would like to thank everyone who supported and prayed for Eugene in his time of need. It means so much more to us than words can express.
