In the early morning hours of 24th November 2004, Santhosh Varma Udaya Varma tragically passed away in an automobile accident. He was 50 years old.

Santhosh was born on 13th July 1974, to Udaya Varma Kuttikkattukovilakam Ramavarma (father) and Kamaladevi  Padinjarekovilakam Subhadrakkutty (mother) in Alappuzha, Kerala, India. He completed his schooling at SDV Alappuzha and earned his Engineering degree from Anjuman Engineering College, Bhatkal, Karnataka.

In 2001, Santhosh married Preetha (wife), and they began their life together in Bangalore. His career in IT led the family, including their children Nandan (son) and Unnathi (daughter), to the United States in 2010. In 2014, they relocated to Canada, where they decided to make Canada their home. Known for his pleasant demeanor and warm, radiant smile, Santhosh was an active member of the Malayali community in Canada.  A devoted family man, he cherished spending time with his loved ones and was always there for them. He had a passion for horror movies and enjoyed watching films with his wife.

Santhosh is survived by his wife, Preetha Varma; Nandan Varma (son); Unnathi Varma (daughter); Udaya Varma (father); Kamaladevi (mother); Sudheesh (brother); Sindhu (sister); and his beloved nieces and nephews.

A public visitation will be held on December 15, 2024, from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Lotus Funeral & Cremation Centre. The cremation will follow at 1pm on the same day at the same location.
