Obituary of Ashis Kumar Mukerjea

Please share a memory of Ashis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ashis K. Mukerjea, was taken away from us by cruel hands of cancer on March 26, 2019. Ashis was born in India and grew up in Delhi. Self-made, very independent and extremely hard-working individual, always made impression on his employers, clients, peers, friends wherever he went in printing, publishing and then in advertising industries while he was in India. He liked to stand out in a crowd and had his own style and personality in everything he did. Upon migration to Canada, he had to change professions, and got into learning IT programming languages, and Graphics Designing ultimately after a few initial struggles. Multifaceted personality, a photographer, a music-lover, tube radio restorer and collector, traveller, automobile enthusiast and a great storyteller. Anyone who came in contact with him, would always remember this person, he knew how to make an impression. He loved life and learning new latest and greatest happenings in the sound and light world, whether it was for automobiles, or house or home theatre system. His creativity and artistic flare knew no bounds, photography was dear to his heart. He lived life to the fullest, accomplished a lot of on his bucket list - Travelling to places in Europe, Costa Rica, Caribbean, India, North America…, buying his first truck for off-roading and travelling across US cities, building a home theatre with 3D sound system, model railroading…In addition, he loved perfection in everything he did and expected no less from people around him too :-) Kind-hearted, warm, gentleman and extremely loving human being, always ready to help and support anyone in need. He was interested in people, interacting and learning about different cultures, sharing his own experiences and knowledge with others and providing guidance. Throughout his journey with cancer treatment, Ashis continued to live life to its fullest - travelled around the world, nothing could keep him down until the very end. We are grateful he went peacefully in his sleep as he took his last breaths, surrounded by family, friends and loved ones. We celebrate his impressive life and love for enjoying every moment of it, he will be greatly missed by us all. We would also like to thank Dr. Alexander Zlotta for holding Ashis's hand and guiding him through his cancer treatments, he was always there to provide support, comfort to us and very approachable. Very few doctors come close to Dr. Zlotta, thank you! Rest In Peace Ashis, we love you forever! Thanks Arpita
