Obituary of Rama Jaidev Khanna

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Dr. Rama Khanna on Jan 4th, 2018 at the age of 69. She is survived by her loving husband, Jaidev Khanna, her daughter, son, daughter in-law and two grandchildren. Dr. Rama Khanna was born in New Delhi, India and lived in many diverse countries including the United States, Australia, Ethiopia, Bahrain, Qatar, and finally found a home just west of Toronto, living in Mississauga, and practicing medicine in Georgetown, Ontario. She was a driven woman committed to helping others and quietly overcoming obstacles with grace and fortitude. A selfless and compassionate caregiver, Dr. Khanna has been described as trustworthy, diligent, caring, knowledgeable and generous with her time. In her personal life, she enjoyed reading, travelling and spending time with her beloved children, daughter-in-law, and young grandchildren. She dedicated herself to the life she had built with her husband of over 40 years. Her last selfless act on earth was the donation of her lungs to a young woman waiting for a second chance at a healthy life. It is perhaps a suitable ending to a beautiful life dedicated to others. She will be dearly missed by everyone and we pray that her soul rest in eternal peace.
