Obituary of Mukund Atmaram Kulkarni

We celebrate the life of Mukund Atmaram Kulkarni, P.Eng. (24Jul1933- 18Jan2024).  A beloved family man who exuded love and pride for his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Teaching was a joy for him, whether as a professor of structural engineering at St. Lawrence College, religious lessons to children in his Balvikas classes or life lessons to his precious grandchildren; always injecting his thought provoking and entertaining stories amongst the subject matter. He was a pillar in the Kingston India-Canada association, was a devout religious consult for Indian families and an adopted father figure for many Indian students passing through Queen’s University. Mukund’s wife, Mangal (Nandini) passed in May2020 and son, Amit passed in March2023. He is survived by his daughter Neena (Anuja),grandchildren Sheisha, Avinash, Keshev, Anish, Anjana and his many nieces, and nephews in India and Canada. His fierce love for each of us will be forever cherished.
